Following the general membership meeting we will hold the first Range Orientation Update for 2010. The lock for the outdoor range gate will be changed Saturday January 9th. New members that took advantage of the prorated membership for 2009 and 2010 will still need to take the 2010 update to get their 2010 key for the gate. This can be done at the general membership meetings or both days of the gun show held March 20th and 21st. Please remember that you need to bring your SOP with you to get your update completed or purchase one at the meeting. The SOP is an important and informative document - we hope that you treat it as such.

Club officer elections were held at December's meeting. Those elected are Garry Niver - Vice President, Ralph Madison - Secretary, Wayne Fick - Range Officer and Brian Dadisman and Phil McCormick Directors. Congratulations to them - there is still much work to do at the outdoor range and just in the day to day operations to keep the club running smoothly.
I want to thank Andy Hill and Jerry Als for their many hours spent on the board. Until you serve on the board, many of our members are not aware of the many hours spent to keep our range moving in a positive direction.

I don't want you to think only board members do the work at the range. There have been many countless hours of labor done by non board members - many times not recognized by a thank you in the newsletter. I want to thank all those that went above and beyond just being a shooting member of the club - a big thank you!

There have been a couple of big changes with our gun show this year. We have moved the date to March 20th and 21st. We are also going to use the Iowa National Guard Armory. We will need many volunteers for the show again this year - manning the door, club tables and concessions. Please mark these dates on your calendar and volunteer.
