There will be an action pistol program after the August general membership meeting. We will hold an abbreviated meeting and then adjourn to hold a range orientation for those that need it and the action pistol program. Please bring a handgun, holster and a few rounds of ammo and have a little fun after the meeting.

The second silhouette league match was held the 11th. Eight participants competed. Junior Bart Laubenthal won the stage with 12 animals.

The CMP Sporter Rifle and Mini Palma were cancelled due to lack of participants.

On a good note Austin, Minnesota club member Jim Soderstrom won the Minnesota State Long Range Rifle match held in Harris, MN June 27th. Congratulations to Jim! This match is shot with a center fire rifle with iron sights and then a scope at 1000 yards.

I would like everyone to thank Dean Kramer and Gary Satern for the many hours of volunteer mowing they have done the past years and so far this year. Without their volunteer mowing the range would not look near as good as it does. We should all be proud of how our range looks - it has to be one of the nicer ones in the Midwest.

There are a few projects we need to address before winter. These include the clubhouse, the new sign in structure, the gate and the cement work for the addition to the clubhouse. We will talk about these at the August meeting and get busy these next few months.
